Geotextile (woven)

Woven geotextiles are high‑strength fabrics engineered for soil separation, subgrade stabilisation and load support. Interlaced yarns create a strong, low‑elongation layer that improves bearing capacity and helps extend pavement life. Commonly used beneath roads, driveways, hardstands, storage yards and haul roads, they prevent aggregate loss into weak subgrades, reduce rutting and help manage differential settlement. They can also assist in erosion control and embankment reinforcement. Available in a range of strengths and apertures, woven geotextiles suit both separation‑only applications (slit‑film) and filtration/stabilisation where water flow is important (monofilament). Select the grade to match subgrade condition, expected loads and drainage needs. Easy to handle and install, fabrics are typically rolled out on prepared subgrades with appropriate overlaps and secured before placement of base course. Correct installation supports consistent performance and reduces maintenance over time.
