Civil engineering grade sodium bentonite designed for geotechnical construction. Offers reliable swelling, gel strength, and very low permeability for containment and support works. Ideal for slurry trenching and diaphragm walls, HDD and microtunnelling drilling fluids, borehole and pile support, and soil sealing or lining of ponds, canals, and landfills. Forms a thixotropic gel that suspends cuttings, reduces filtration losses, and self-seals against minor movement. Hydrates effectively in fresh water to create a dense, low-permeability barrier. Compatible with cement-bentonite mixes and polymer systems when formulated appropriately. Supplied in bagged and bulk options to suit site logistics and project scale.
