Box-style gabion 1000mm L x 1000mm W x 500mm H with 100x50mm mesh in durable AL-TEN alloy-coated wire. Ideal for retaining walls, garden features and erosion control; holds approximately 0.50 m3 of rock.
This box gabion measures 1000mm long x 1000mm wide x 500mm high and features a 100x50mm mesh aperture. With an internal volume of approximately 0.50 m3, it’s a versatile size for compact walls, landscape features, planters and erosion control.
Constructed from AL-TEN aluminium-zinc alloy coated steel wire, it offers enhanced corrosion resistance compared with standard galvanised finishes. It’s suitable for use in exposed or moisture-prone environments where durability is essential.
The 100x50mm mesh helps retain smaller rock while maintaining a neat face. For best results, use hard, angular stone larger than the mesh opening to minimise migration and achieve a stable, well-packed structure.
Common applications include low retaining walls, freestanding features, seating and cladding. Assemble on site, place on a level, compacted base, and consider a geotextile separator behind the basket when used against soil. Seek professional advice for engineered or load-bearing designs.
