This gabion measures 2000mm (L) x 500mm (W) x 1000mm (H) with a 100x50mm mesh aperture, delivering rigid, clean lines suited to both architectural and civil works. Use it for retaining walls, freestanding features, cladding, and erosion control.
Made from steel wire with an AL-TEN aluminium-zinc alloy coating, it offers strong corrosion resistance in demanding environments, including coastal locations. The rectangular aperture helps maintain a flat face and reduces bulging when correctly braced.
For best results, assemble using suitable lacing wire, spirals, or clips, and add internal bracing at mid-span to keep the 2m length true. Fill with hard, angular rock sized larger than the mesh openings to ensure good confinement and a tight, even facade.
For retaining applications, install on a level, compacted base and place a geotextile between the soil and the back face to reduce fines migration; the permeable structure helps relieve hydrostatic pressure. Low maintenance and versatile, it integrates well with modern landscape designs.
