This gabion basket provides a clean, structural solution for retaining, erosion control, and landscape features. Sized at 975 x 525 x 1200mm (H) with a 75x75mm mesh aperture, it is designed to be filled with rock for a natural, permeable wall system. The AL-TEN aluminium–zinc coating enhances durability in outdoor environments.
Its compact 525mm depth makes it suitable where space is limited, while the 1200mm height offers useful wall elevation or column height. The internal volume is approximately 0.615 m3, helping you estimate the quantity of stone required.
For best results, install on a level, well‑compacted base. Join panels securely with lacing wire or spirals and add internal bracing as you fill to maintain shape and minimise bulging. Place stone carefully in layers for a neat face and stable structure.
Select rock larger than the 75mm mesh aperture to prevent loss of fill; angular stone typically interlocks well. Where building retaining structures, incorporate appropriate drainage and separation (e.g., free‑draining backfill and geotextile) to reduce hydrostatic pressure and fines migration.
