Weed matting fabric is a UV stabilised heavy duty (110 gsm) commercial grade woven polypropylene fabric with green marker lines at 30cm centres. This roll is 366cm wide (with a single fold), so it unfolds to 366cm. The physical size of the roll for shipping is only 186cm x 24cm diameter. Total weight is 21.82kg per roll.

Weed matting fabric is a UV stabilised heavy duty (110 gsm) commercial grade woven polypropylene fabric with green marker lines at 30cm centres. This roll is 366cm wide (with a single fold), so it unfolds to 366cm. The physical size of the roll for shipping is only 186cm x 24cm diameter. Total weight is 21.82kg per roll.
Hydraulic properties are tested by TRI Australia (a NATA accredited lab). We batch test using our own UV testing equipment that simulates fully exposed conditions. It indicates that after 8 years only a small amount of carbon migrates to the surface and most tensile strength is retained, therefore we are confident the product will last at least 8 years from UV. Other factors that may reduce the life of a fabric include heat and chemical contamination, so the lifespan is indicative based upon ultra violet lab testing only. If the product is fully covered it should last indefinitely and will not be affected by soil bacteria.
Noweed Premium stands out from other fabrics which appear to be the same by its tight weave count. A woven material designed to prevent weed growth and yet allow air to penetrate. Soil is not soured and roots are protected from the spread of fungus and bacteria.
Specification: 3.66m x 50m, 110gsm. Thread count (weave) is 96 x 44 / 10cm.
Note: As a woven polypropylene water flow rate can be slow to permeate through the fabric. If a high flow rate is required it is recommended that irrigation be drip fed at the points of opening for the plants, this will ensure that water penetrates to the roots with no evaporation. For accessibility to the drip system it should be installed over the top.
