This steel mesh gabion basket measures 1950 x 525 x 525mm (L x W x H) with a 75 x 75mm aperture, suitable for stone fills that lock together securely. The AL-TEN aluminium-zinc alloy coating helps protect the wire from the elements for a long service life.
Use it for low retaining walls, garden terraces, erosion control, and architectural features such as benches and planters. Its compact width is useful where space is limited while maintaining wall stability when correctly designed.
Internal volume is approximately 0.537 m3, helping you estimate rock requirements based on your chosen stone density. For a 75mm mesh, a typical guideline is to use hard, angular rock generally 100–200mm in size so it cannot pass through the mesh.
Install on a firm, level base, align and securely lace or clip all panel joints, and brace as required during filling to control bulging. Where retaining soil, place a suitable geotextile between the cage and backfill to reduce soil migration. Always follow project design requirements.
